About the role

An employee-owned engineering consulting firm is seeking a Construction Engineering Manager to join its growing Seattle team. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a construction and engineering professional looking to take ownership of projects, strengthen client relationships, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams throughout the Pacific Northwest. Rather than focusing solely on technical execution, this role will play a key part in overseeing project delivery, partnering with clients and contractors, supporting staff development, and coordinating closely with geotechnical and civil engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction services projects across the Pacific Northwest
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with geotechnical, civil engineering, and construction teams
  • Lead project planning, staffing, scheduling, and resource management efforts
  • Support and mentor technical staff while helping drive project success
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in construction services, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related field
  • Resident engineering or heavy civil construction experience required
  • 2-3+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Proven ability to manage projects, teams, and client relationships
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
