Overview Next 150 Construction is seeking a Construction Engineer/Enginnering Manager. The Construction Engineer III / Construction Engineering Manager assists the Project Manager in performing, directing, and managing all engineering functions on a construction management project. Responsibilities Coordinates and manages all engineering processes with construction managementEnsures procedure manuals for all processes are being followed and presents to other team members (A/E and Owners)Trains and educates project team in all project procedures, document posting and submittal reviewFacilitates project meetings with Gilbane staff (A/E and Owners)Works with Project Engineers and Superintendents to coordinate jobsite safetyFacilitates internal Gilbane University coursesManages RFI processPrepares front end documentsExpedites material deliveriesEstimates and processes change ordersPrepares monthly pay requestEstablishes and manages schedule, cost, and control proceduresBecomes familiar with contracts, general conditions, and flow down languagePerforms constructability and coordination reviewsWrites scopes of work for all bid packages; assists with bid openings and bid tabulationsNegotiates changes with trades and owners; manages same processAssumes responsibility for jobsite safetyProvides job site orientationCollaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Experience/Education Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management4 - 8+ years of experience with a construction management or general contractor organization including management or lead engineering role for large construction project (>$75M)Or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong verbal presentation and written skillsAbility to work in a team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office programsFinancial management familiarityOSHA 30-hour certifiedThorough MEP knowledgeComplete understanding of contract document & specificationsProficient in ProcoreLEED Certification (preferred) Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For Missouri this ranges from $85,000.00-$125,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
