Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform construction site duties in planning and overseeing construction and maintenance projects, supporting site supervision, and project management.
- Manage job cost reporting processes. Track quantities and develop reports for status, the cost versus budget, cost forecasting, and scheduling updates.
- Work with the estimating and project team in building and maintaining the project schedules from bid time through project completion.
- Prepare payment applications, schedule updates, and status reports to the client as required.
- Manage the flow of technical information between customer and company. Includes submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and daily reports.
- Negotiate, prepare, and manage subcontractor and purchase order contracts and payments, including change requests.
- Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with an interpretation of design documents and providing specific expertise for problem-solving activities.
- Review, understand and interpret plans and specifications. Manage and communicate revisions.
- Understand and interpret contracts. Recognize and manage changes and all associated impacts including pricing of change requests and schedule impacts.
- Assist with negotiation of change orders, and back charges; review and justify claims for additional compensation.
- Create and manage project close-out documentation.

- Education and/or Work Experience Requirement: Degree in Construction Management and/or engineering required / 5+ years of relative industry experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
- Extensive travel will be required for this position.
- The position will be onsite project-based for 90% of the time.
- The base of operations will be either southwestern Indiana or southeastern Ohio.
- Projects can be anywhere in the midwestern United States.
