Construction Engineer

About the role

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking a Construction Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Services team. Our Construction Services market focuses on developing and maintaining America's infrastructure and supply chain, and we are a recognized industry leader with over 25 accredited laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Create proposals, schedule, and budget projects
• Manage all phases of project execution including project organization, subcontractor/vendor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reporting
• Lead and participate in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions
• Drive customer value by overseeing pursuits, defining client needs, addressing client concerns, and managing engineering resources within budget
• Communicate effectively with internal and external teams of clients and stakeholders
• Collaborate on a program of construction management projects striving for continuous improvement in process development and execution
• Devise innovative and creative solutions to problems encountered

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 3+ years project management experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• 1 - 2 years supervisory/management experience
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
