Construction Document Control (Data Center)
About the role
This position is a part of our Project Management department and assists the project team at the project site in preparing project reports, coordinating project meetings, and preparing invoices in accordance with the client contract under minimal supervision from the project management team. The role is supporting a marquis client in the data center space.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and assist a variety of stakeholders including, engineers, designers, inspectors, construction personnel, and contract engineering companies.
- Perform search, retrieval, scanning, copying, and printing of engineering documents and information, and assist others with the same.
- Scan and convert documents to specified software file formats for electronic use and storage.
- Ensure security and preservation of controlled data, documents, and records.
- Receive, review, and track information/updates associated with drawings and documents.
- Produce reports, transmittals, and other data as required within the document index system.
- Provide notification to potentially impacted individuals/groups when specific documents are updated and/or requested.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.
- Value Engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equal.
- Communicate with and manage project stakeholders.
- Prepare Project Management plan and fee budget/proposal at the project outset.
- Evaluate documents and communicate the client’s specific goals and expectations to all project team members.
- Develop and communicate action plans that will lead the project team throughout the project, beginning with the initial Project Management Plan.
- Re-evaluate the contract scope of work as the project progresses against the goals, expectations, and the needs of the client, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Cookordination with cost management group as applicable for preparation of cost estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation.
- Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping of electronic and physical documents.
- Drive the permitting process by designing team documents to be submitted to various local, state, and federal agencies and ensure the applicable permits are moving through the process efficiently.
- Ensure the project design management continues to follow the client project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and client's design standards.
- Prepare cost and revenue projections.
Requirements
- Experience with scanning and converting documents to various specified file formats.
- Knowledge of proper security and preservation of controlled data, documents & records.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience, providing document control services in the AEC (Architecture/Engineering/Construction) environments.

Benefits
The salary range for this full-time role is $52,400.00-$66,400.01 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
