About the role
This position serves as an Assistant Division Manager for the Reconstruction Operations division, overseeing job assignments and workload distribution, leading operational meetings, supporting Project Managers, and coordinating with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee job assignments and workload distribution across the Reconstruction Division
- Lead weekly operational meetings with Project Managers and Estimators
- Review project scopes, budgets, schedules, and profitability
- Serve as acting Division Manager when the Operations Manager is unavailable
- Support Project Managers with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, customer concerns, and complex project issues
- Maintain active projects for quality, schedule adherence, budget performance, and customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and division profitability
- Track division Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report performance to the Operations Manager
- Coach, mentor, and support Project Managers and field personnel
- Cook up with Mitigation, Administration, Sales, and Reconstruction teams to ensure smooth project transitions
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing reconstruction or commercial construction projects
- Experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Division Manager, Division Manager, or similar construction operations leadership role
- Proven success managing multiple construction projects from estimate through completion
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, job costing, subcontractor management, and customer communication
- Strong administrative and operational management experience—not solely field supervision
- Experience overseeing project financials, timelines, documentation, and team accountability
- Able to lead both Project Managers and field personnel in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of construction workflows, estimating, and operational efficiency
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience using construction management, scheduling, and project tracking software
- Restoration or insurance reconstruction experience
- Experience using Xactimate or similar construction estimating software
- Previous experience overseeing departmental operations or multiple Project Managers
