Construction Coordinator - Route Based

Project Resources Group (PRG) is a leading provider of construction management, outside plant damage assessment & recovery, business outsourcing, and consulting services within the cable, telephony, construction, and utility industries. Services include back office processing, technical support, network infrastructure, engineering & design, project and program management, and outside plant damage cost recovery.

About the role

As a route-based Construction Coordinator, you'll serve as the eyes and ears on the ground for our clients' fiber networks. This role involves running an assigned route, monitoring for potential issues, and preventing small problems from escalating. Ideal for those who prefer outdoor, field-based work over desk-based tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily assignments and plan your route.
• Drive an assigned fiber route on a recurring basis, with substantial daily windshield time.
• Monitor existing fiber routes for risks to the infrastructure.
• Review and reference 811 locate tickets, maps, and prints to stay ahead of nearby digging and construction activity.
• Provide first-level support for minor issues and mitigate potential failure points.
• Log and escalate changes in infrastructure or conditions along the route.
• Verify the quality, accuracy, and adherence of work performed under the scope of work (SOW).
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Reliable, well-maintained personal vehicle in clean, professional condition (mileage reimbursed at the current IRS-approved rate).
• Dependability—consistent punctuality and follow-through on tasks.
• Sharp attention to detail, especially when reviewing tickets, maps, and prints.
• Comfort working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical readiness to walk extensively, bend, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft tools for reporting and communication.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of underground utilities and local dig laws (a plus).
• Strong understanding of fiber engineering fundamentals.
• Customer service instincts to interpret, communicate, and deliver on client needs.
• Sharp organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
• Commitment to working in all weather conditions.

Pay

$28–$34/hour, plus the opportunity to earn an annual bonus.
