Construction Coordinator - Route Based

About the Role

As a route-based Construction Coordinator, you'll be the eyes and ears on the ground for our clients' fiber networks. You'll run an assigned route, monitor fiber infrastructure, and address minor issues before they escalate. This role involves substantial daily driving, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and independent problem-solving in the field.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily assignments and plan your route.
• Drive an assigned fiber route on a recurring basis, monitoring for risks to the line.
• Visit and monitor existing fiber routes, watching for anything that could put the line at risk.
• Review and reference 811 locate tickets, maps, and prints to stay ahead of nearby digging and construction activity.
• Offer first-level support for minor issues and mitigate potential failure points.
• Log and escalate changes in infrastructure or conditions along the route.
• Verify the quality, accuracy, and adherence of work performed under the scope of work (SOW).
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Reliable, well-maintained personal vehicle in clean, professional condition (mileage reimbursed at the current IRS-approved standard mileage rate).
• Dependability—ability to show up on time and complete tasks consistently.
• Sharp attention to detail, especially when reviewing tickets, maps, and prints.
• Comfort working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical readiness to walk extensively, bend, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
• Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft tools for reporting and communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Clear communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to adjust delivery to your audience.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of underground utilities and local dig laws is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fiber engineering fundamentals.
• Customer service instincts—ability to interpret, communicate, and deliver on client needs.
• Prior outdoor experience is a plus.

Pay

$28–$34/hour, with the opportunity to earn an annual bonus.
