Construction Controller - Residential

Job Details
We’re hiring a Controller to support the financial operations of a growing luxury residential construction company focused on high-end homes and remodels in Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Back. This is a key role on a smaller, collaborative team where you’ll have visibility into all aspects of the business and play a hands-on role in managing the company’s financial health.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, and job costing
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow
- Maintain accurate job cost tracking and project financials
- Work closely with ownership on forecasting and financial strategy
- Ensure systems and processes are efficient and scalable
- Manage and optimize use of Buildertrend and QuickBooks
Qualifications
- Construction accounting experience (custom residential preferred)
- Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Buildertrend (or similar software)
- Able to work in a small team environment and wear multiple hats
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and ability to partner with operations teams
