Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting and financial operations for the company and its affiliated entities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • Develop and maintain internal accounting controls and financial policies
  • Oversee project accounting, including WIP schedules, job costing, percentage of completion accounting, draw requests, billing, accounts receivable, and collections
  • Monitor project profitability and provide financial insight to leadership
  • Manage weekly cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • Partner with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Supervise accounting staff across Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Project Accounting
  • Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance
  • Oversee payroll, insurance reporting, sales tax filings, and other regulatory requirements
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and financial reporting capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Minimum of 5 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience within the construction industry strongly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of construction accounting, WIP reporting, job costing, percentage of completion accounting, and construction billing
  • Experience with construction ERP or accounting software such as Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, or Foundation
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently while partnering closely with executive leadership

Pay

$110,000 - $160,000 per year
