Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger and manage daily financial transactions
- Perform bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations
- Process and review AIA billing forms and construction-related invoices
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll records
- Generate financial reports and statements for management review
- Monitor vendor accounts, ensure timely payments, and resolve discrepancies
- Track expenses, allocations, and cost reports for ongoing projects
- Collaborate with project managers on job cost reporting and budgeting
- Assist in preparing for audits and tax filings
- Support implementation of financial systems and process improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in construction
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of AIA billing, job cost accounting, and reconciliations
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar & Microsoft Suite)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
- High level of integrity in managing confidential financial information
