Construction Attorney (Associate)
About the role
Robinson+Cole, a Vault "Top Ranked" Am Law 200 firm, seeks an associate with three to five years of experience to join its Construction Practice Group in our Hartford, Stamford, or New York City offices.
Responsibilities
- Support the transactional side of our practice, including drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements; counseling clients on strategy and implementation risks; and other transactional fundamentals.
- Work on a broad range of issues involved in construction projects, including contract procurement and delivery, drafting and negotiating design and construction contracts, and claims and dispute resolution.
- Handle all types of construction projects in the Northeast and nationally.
- Gain exposure to complex construction contract negotiations and serve as second-chair at trials.
- Occasional travel along the East Coast may be required.
Requirements
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Prior experience in construction law, familiarity with Relativity software, and experience navigating construction market complexities are preferred.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Pay
The target base salary range for this position is $195,000 to $210,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
Schedule
Robinson+Cole supports the flexibility provided by a hybrid work model. Our attorneys are asked to work in the office a minimum of 2-3 days per week to benefit from in-person connection and collaboration.
