Construction Advisory - Associate Director

We are actively seeking an Associate Director to join the Construction Advisory & Disputes Team, specializing in construction claims and dispute resolution.

About the role

The Associate Director will primarily be involved in construction dispute resolution, claims preparation and analysis, delay/disruption analysis, and providing programming support on live projects. Candidates will serve as the lead assistant to the Delay Expert(s), providing forensic delay analysis and contributing to the preparation of expert reports. This role involves frequent client interaction, preparing and delivering presentations, and managing client relations while working under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities include assisting in promoting construction advisory services in the industry, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality work to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead forensic delay analysis and contribute to expert report preparation
• Perform advanced data research and manage client relations
• Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate results
• Conduct contract and change order management, critical path scheduling analysis, and cost analysis
• Review drawings, specifications, and other engineering/construction-related documents
• Quantify damages and analyze delays/disruptions on construction projects
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver commissions to client satisfaction
• Assist in promoting construction advisory services in the industry

Requirements

• More than 10 years of experience in forensic delay analysis in the construction and engineering industry
• Recognized undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or similar from a leading university
• Proficient in programming software (e.g., Primavera 6 and Microsoft Project)
• Chartered professional status or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of on-site construction experience with engineering, construction, or construction claim/dispute firms
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and build strong client relationships
• Strong technical underpinning in project planning and ability to work under pressure
• Flexible approach to work and a sense of personal responsibility for quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in construction law or similar (desirable but not essential)
• Fluent in English; command of a second language is desirable

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000, based on factors including skillset, experience, training, location, and scope of role.
