Position Overview

SteerBridge Strategies is seeking a Construction Administrator (CM-CA) to provide Construction Management Services supporting infrastructure upgrades across the Fargo, ND Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for construction analysis, development, design support, and preparation of plans and specifications for new work and facility improvements
  • Provide administrative oversight and evaluation concerning all construction disciplines related to project execution
  • Independently determine and manage administrative actions necessary for project development and completion
  • Review final contract documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Assess project impacts on medical center operations and patient care through risk assessment processes
  • Manage construction documentation and maintain project records
  • Cookordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout project execution
  • Monitor construction activities for quality assurance, safety, schedule, and compliance
  • Identify deficiencies, incongruities, and issues in contractor work relative to construction documents and project requirements
  • Assist in schedule evaluation and determination of acceptable work completed

Required Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be eligible to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge
  • Must provide examples of at least three (3) projects of similar size, scope, and complexity where the candidate held a comparable role
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of construction-related experience may substitute for formal education and will be reviewed for acceptability
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, QA/QC processes, safety procedures, scheduling, cost management, change management, and information management
  • Experience supporting General Contractor and Subcontractor operations on active construction sites
  • Experience reviewing construction documents and identifying deficiencies or inconsistencies
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Candidates should demonstrate experience in the following areas:
    • Construction Project Management

    • Construction Scheduling and Documentation
    • Contractor and Stakeholder Coordination
    • Risk Assessment and Problem Solving
    • Regulatory and Safety Compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal construction projects, healthcare facilities, or VA projects preferred
  • Familiarity with healthcare construction environments and operational impacts preferred
  • Experience with construction administration in occupied facilities preferred

Pay

$85,000 - $92,000 a year

Salary is commensurate with experience.
