Responsibilities
- Managing construction projects’ finances and budgets.
- Handling invoicing and payment processing for construction projects.
- Monitoring project expenses and cash flow.
- Preparing financial statements and reports for construction projects.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborating with project managers to develop detailed, cost-effective budgets.
- Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices and estimating cash flow.
- Company payroll through ADP Software
Skills
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles including GAAP
- Comprehension of federal and state compliance regulation
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and statements
- Computer skills related to the preparation of financial schedules and reports
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and enable team members to produce quality materials within requested timeframes
- Skills normally acquired through a combination of the completion of an accounting degree, three to five years of experience in a senior-level accounting position or public accounting
- Proficiency with ADP, QuickBooks, and Excel including other MS Suite programs
- Experience with construction management software such as PROCORE, and Bluebeam a plus
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in any aspect of construction accounting; Roadway, Highway, or Heavy Civil preferred.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Exceptional computer skills.
- Proficient in ADP, QuickBooks, MS Suite,
- Ability to analyze problems and create solutions that add value to the client and the company.
Pay
$85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
