Construction Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Managing construction projects’ finances and budgets.
• Handling invoicing and payment processing for construction projects.
• Monitoring project expenses and cash flow.
• Preparing financial statements and reports for construction projects.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborating with project managers to develop detailed, cost-effective budgets.
• Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices and estimating cash flow.
• Company payroll through ADP Software

Skills

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles including GAAP
• Comprehension of federal and state compliance regulation
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and statements
• Computer skills related to the preparation of financial schedules and reports
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and enable team members to produce quality materials within requested timeframes
• Skills normally acquired through a combination of the completion of an accounting degree, three to five years of experience in a senior-level accounting position or public accounting
• Proficiency with ADP, QuickBooks, and Excel including other MS Suite programs
• Experience with construction management software such as PROCORE, and Bluebeam a plus

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in any aspect of construction accounting; Roadway, Highway, or Heavy Civil preferred.
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Exceptional computer skills.
• Proficient in ADP, QuickBooks, MS Suite,
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions that add value to the client and the company.

Pay

$85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
