About the role
Gordian is seeking an Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, construction knowledge, and deliver results through expertise while utilizing Gordian’s construction data and software.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounts and develop positive working relationships with customers and construction contractors.
- Provide support, training, and expertise in Job Order Contracting (JOC).
- Oversee project support including scope development, material take-offs, proposal review, and construction management.
- Work closely with and manage Account Managers on operational processes such as contract renewals, schedule management, troubleshooting, and software training.
- Identify root causes of customer success and failures, and drive process enhancements and developments.
- Partner with internal cross-functional teams to understand customer goals and key performance metrics, exceeding these goals annually.
- Focus on maintaining superior customer service levels, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
- Work with Finance on billing setup and invoicing.
- Hire and develop staff, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members.
- Participate in budget development and management, revenue forecasting, and periodic updates and management of profit and loss.
- Work with Sales and Business Operations teams to develop annual program usage and benchmark reports.
- Deliver program reviews to client’s senior management.
- Aid sales team in discovering business opportunities outside of Job Order Contracting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting related experience, particularly in healthcare construction and construction management.
- Knowledge of key concepts including plans, deliverables, scope, and tasks.
- Confident communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organizations.
- A focus on relationships, ability to gain trust through communication, expectation setting, and completion of planned deliverables.
- Sound decision-making, analytical, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing complex client relationships.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations.
- Working knowledge and experience in the preparation and process of construction bid documents.
- The ability to communicate effectively with team members and across the organization.
- Experience identifying client or staffing issues and creating effective solutions, along with the knowledge of when to escalate.
- A valid US driver’s license - This is a remote role, however the candidate should have the ability to travel 50-70% of the time within the assigned geographic area (Kentucky and Ohio).

Pay
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 88,000.00 - 147,000.00.
