Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between constituents and federal agency representatives to facilitate communication and resolve constituent concerns.
- Conduct intake interviews, evaluate requests for assistance, and ensure Privacy Act documentation is complete and compliant.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely case records using the Senate case management system.
- Draft correspondence to constituents and federal agencies regarding case status and outcomes.
- Monitor case progress and follow up proactively to ensure timely resolution whenever possible.
- Cook with district and Washington, D.C. staff regarding constituent issues that have legislative or policy implications.
- Aid with constituent outreach events, mobile office hours, and community engagement efforts throughout Southern Arizona.
- Support office operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and public service.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with Southern Arizona communities is strongly preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with federal, state, or local government.
- Constituent services, social services, legal services, nonprofit, or customer advocacy experience.
- Knowledge of federal agency processes and constituent casework.
- Experience working with diverse populations and vulnerable communities.
