About the Opportunity
The Member Advocate plays a crucial role in the consumer experience by assisting members with their medical and dental insurance questions. This position supports the organization's mission by providing clear guidance and solutions to members' needs, ensuring they understand their coverage and receive timely assistance.
Responsibilities
- Respond to member inquiries regarding medical and dental insurance plans
- Provide clear explanations of coverage and benefits
- Assist members in resolving issues efficiently and compassionately
- Participate in a phased training program to develop industry knowledge and skills
- Engage in calls with members in a fast-paced, unscripted service environment
- Dedicate time to ongoing learning, development, and career growth
- Maintain a remote work setup adhering to organizational guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year customer service experience involving frequent communication via phone, email, or in person
- Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office, and able to learn new tools quickly
- Availability to work Eastern Standard Time hours
- Ability to work in a distraction-free environment with required ergonomic setup
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fast-paced, unscripted service environments
- Bilingual abilities
Pay
- Starting at $20.51/hour ($40,000/year) during training
- Eligibility for salary increases upon training completion and achieving milestones as per progression model
- Annual raise or bonus based on performance
