About the role
Lead the financial management and reporting for Ducks Unlimited conservation projects in the Memphis area. Oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial reports for project grants and donations.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for conservation projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state grant requirements and internal policies.
- Perform financial analysis to support decision-making on project funding and resource allocation.
- Manage relationships with funders and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and present financial data to senior leadership and external auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Experience with non-profit organizations and government grants preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with federal and state grant requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
