Conservation Project Accounting Lead

About the role

Lead the financial management and reporting for Ducks Unlimited conservation projects in the Memphis area. Oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial reports for project grants and donations.
• Oversee the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for conservation projects.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state grant requirements and internal policies.
• Perform financial analysis to support decision-making on project funding and resource allocation.
• Manage relationships with funders and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare and present financial data to senior leadership and external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Experience with non-profit organizations and government grants preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with federal and state grant requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
