About the role
Valerio Emergency Plumbing is hiring an experienced Connecticut-licensed P-2 plumber for a full-time service position. This is an opportunity for a capable plumber who wants steady work, competitive pay, professional support, and a meaningful role in the growth of a locally owned plumbing company.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose residential and light-commercial plumbing problems
- Repair leaks, burst pipes, failed fixtures, water heaters, supply lines, drains, and other plumbing systems
- Respond calmly and professionally to emergency plumbing calls
- Explain findings and repair options clearly to customers
- Complete repairs efficiently and in accordance with Connecticut plumbing codes
- Identify additional legitimate plumbing concerns without using high-pressure sales tactics
- Document every job with accurate notes, photographs, materials, and recommendations
- Collect required customer authorizations and payments
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Protect customers’ homes and businesses throughout the service call
- Communicate with dispatch and management regarding job status
- Participate in a scheduled, compensated after-hours on-call rotation
Requirements
- Active Connecticut P-2 Plumbing License—required
- Residential service and repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Able to work independently and complete jobs correctly the first time
- Professional, respectful customer communication
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Dependable, punctual, and personally accountable
- Able to use a smartphone and field-service applications
- Willingness to participate in an emergency on-call rotation
- Able to safely perform the physical requirements of plumbing work
Qualifications
- Experience with water heaters, drain service, sewer cameras, backflow devices, pumps, commercial service, or emergency loss response is valuable but not required in every area.
