Job Description

Provide Junior/Intermediate Configuration Management (CM) support in a team environment, implementing CM processes that support the procurement, development, integration, test, and delivery of the LISA project.

Responsibilities

  • Understand project and stakeholder roles and responsibilities needed to capture the requirement necessary to develop, implement, and maintain a project-related Configuration Management Procedure (CMP) in accordance with Flight Project and Goddard policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Aid in the review, process, and status for the project personnel onboarding forms.
  • Aid in the coordination, tracking, and prompting Project Contractors for Contractor Deliverables Requirements List (CDRL).
  • Support the development and change control of the project's controlled and reference documentation, including the management of hardware, software, plans, procedures, requirements, drawings, Work Order Authorizations (WOAs), engineering orders, and deviations/waivers.
  • Maintain the CM Data Management system to support all CM and data management activities.
  • Manage the receipt, review, disposition, and related distribution of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) items.
  • Maintain and produce configuration management-related status reporting as needed and in support of key project lifecycle reviews.
  • Perform Configuration Management Verifications and Audits.
  • May support major reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and PSR.
  • Manage associated data and database in support of the configuration management system and processes.
  • Advise and guide customers through the CM process.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide full-time on-site support at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD; intermittent telework possible based on project/customer requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced skills in SharePoint a plus.
  • Experience in Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC.
  • Experience with Data Management Systems including the Technical Data Management System (TDMS).
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently but also as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interface successfully with Project personnel and technical leads as well as personnel at varying levels of management.
  • Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor degree and 2 years of professional experience or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
