Configuration Management Engineer

About the role

Areté is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Engineer to support and lead document control processes across the full product lifecycle—from development through sustainment and end-of-life.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and executing configuration control through system documentation, software, and drawing release, revision, and archival
• Tracking and delivering project data (documentation, software, drawing packages)
• Drafting Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
• Drafting deviations and waivers; maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Coordination and collaboration of activities with other functional groups and project managers within a matrix development environment

Requirements

• Eligible to obtain and hold a Top Secret clearance
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME
• Familiarity with SAE-GEIA-859 and MIL-STD-963

Qualifications

• Minimum of BS in Engineering or related field, with 0-5 years of experience
• Minimum of MS in Engineering or related field, with 3 years of experience
• Minimum of BS in Engineering or related field, with 7 years of experience
• Minimum of MS in Engineering or related field, with 5 years of experience

Skills

• Process-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with SAE EIA-649 standards and ISO 9001 Quality Management System

Pay

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $140,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory position based in Tucson, AZ.
