We are seeking a full-time Configuration Control Specialist at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand department tools
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability in key performance indicators
  • Apply Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy and exhibit enthusiasm for and a desire to see Garmin succeed
  • Identify areas of process improvement
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, commitment, and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions quickly
  • Work with a working knowledge of Engineering Change Orders, Bills of Material structures, and Product Lifecycle Transitions
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and proactively seek to improve understanding of Garmin’s processes and procedures
  • Participate in projects with direction from management and mentor others
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and work well with team members and internal customers
  • Demonstrate ability to complete well-defined tasks and/or projects
  • Offer suggestions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques
  • Determine root cause and develop corrective action plans
  • Prioritize workload with some assistance and expedite as needed
  • Assemble and analyze data, identify problems, and develop recommendations which support multiple segments
  • Work within the team to perform cross-functional job duties and assist teammates when needed
  • Work under general supervision and follow established procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and customers
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of parts drawings and implementing changes within a quality system by using Agile or similar tool
  • Basic understanding of supply chain, manufacturing processes, and Manufacturing Resource Process (MRP)
