About the role
This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and following CM processes throughout project life cycles to maintain consistent configuration control
- Developing, operating, and maintaining CM database and other process management tools
- Maintaining the Configuration Management Plan
- Managing CM products and documentation
- Cooking and administering configuration management activities related to planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit
- Managing CM processes to maintain the integrity of the hardware and software as-designed and as-built configurations utilizing both PLM and ERP systems
- Planning and coordinating preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met
- Preparing and maintaining program plans that define how configuration management will be accomplished on an operations and maintenance program
- Assisting with capturing product baselines and performing configuration status accounting and configuration audits
- Reviewing contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying CM knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
- Analyzing proposed changes to product design documentation to determine effect on overall product and system
- Reviewing Statement of Work/program specification content and applicability to program implementation
- Contributing to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and requirements
- Participating in modifying and providing input to policies and procedures that govern CM-related processes, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and pursue CM process improvements
- Cooking and coordinating all contractual selloff requirements
Requirements
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to interface well with program management/customers/IPT leads
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience
- Domain knowledge of Configuration Mgmt. standards such as MIL-HDBK-61A &/or EIA-649C &/or EIA-649-1
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface well with program management/customers
- Experience with product lifecycle management software, Teamcenter highly preferred
Skills
- Self-motivated and able to effectively work with all levels of the organization
- Proficient in tools such as Enovia, Atlassian Confluence, Atlassian Jira, and other related CM programs
- Experience in managing access control and organization of documentation locations
- Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations
