Job Summary
The Conference Services Manager at Schulte Hospitality Group is responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of group meetings, conferences, conventions, and special events within the hotel. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients and hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients from contract turnover through event completion
- Detail all group events, meetings, banquets, and convention functions accurately and efficiently
- Cook up and distribute banquet event orders (BEOs), resumes, and event timelines

- Coordinate with sales, catering, banquet, culinary, housekeeping, front office, and audiovisual teams to ensure successful event execution
- Monitor event setup, service delivery, and breakdown to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist the client in menu planning, coordinate food, beverage, table arrangements, and decorations ensuring clients' details are executed
- Respond promptly to client requests, questions, and last-minute changes
- Build strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after events
- Manage room blocks, meeting space allocations, and special guest arrangements
- Ensure all event details are communicated clearly to operational departments
- Conduct site inspections and planning meetings with prospective and confirmed clients
- Resolve guest concerns and operational issues professionally and efficiently
- Track event revenue, billing, and final invoices in coordination with accounting
- Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and service standards
- Aid in forecasting, reporting, and departmental administrative duties as needed
- Provide prompt and accurate responses to all client requests for proposals and information
Education And Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of (1) year in conference services or event planning in a hotel or Conference Facility
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Organizational Skills
- Strong computer skills, Marriott CI/TY a plus
- Positive and customer centric attitude
- Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
