Concrete Superintendent

About the role

The Concrete Superintendent position is part of Tutor Perini Corporation's involvement in the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project in Honolulu, HI. The project is a significant endeavor involving the design and construction of six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction effort on elevated guideway structures to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Assume responsibility for compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials & equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Coverage of Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

• 15 or more years of construction experience.
• Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 10 or more years’ experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects overseeing construction of concrete structures.
• Experience as a superintendent on projects valued over $500M.
• Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred.
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft.
• Experienced in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid or similar software.
• OSHA 500, certification, CPR & First Aid Certs.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Benefits

Salary range for this position is $160,000 – $220,000 depending upon experience. Tutor Perini Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
