Concrete & Steel Construction Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of concrete work, including reading and executing project plans, building forms, pouring foundations, flat work, curbs, sidewalks, and large pours.
• Ensure all work complies with local and state building codes and project requirements.
• Work alongside steel and electrical teams to maintain project schedules and timelines.
• Build and set up forms, footings, and foundations to prepare for concrete installation.
• Be willing to assist with various construction tasks, including steel and electrical work, to ensure overall project success.
• Identify and address potential on-site issues, ensuring efficient and timely project completion.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project.
• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure that the team adheres to established safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial solar installation or steel construction, with knowledge of concrete pouring/finishing and construction methods.
• Expertise in building foundations, footings, and forms, with the ability to calculate pitch and ensure level structures.
• Strong desire to grow into leadership roles, managing teams and contributing to larger project success.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Sharp analytical skills to resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively.
• Skilled in operating equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, man lifts, and scissor lifts.
• Willingness to travel for projects, working out of town on a 4x10 schedule (Monday to Thursday) with overnight stays as needed.
