About the role

The position requires managing a team of construction workers, overseeing the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment, and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurate reporting of materials, equipment, and hours of work
• Management and safety of the personnel on the crew
• Ensuring regulatory and safety measures are maintained
• Operating a variety of power equipment and using other machinery as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned under the direction of the Superintendent or other management

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Punctuality and dependability
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends
• Tolerance and ability to work in variable weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments
• Union membership or willingness to become a union member
• 3-5 years of experience in the construction trade, and 2-4 years of experience in a sub-foreman or leadership role
• Ability to manage own time and time of other construction industry personnel efficiently
• Leadership skills and prior leadership experience
