About the Role
A Concrete Foreman oversees all activities and work for concrete laborers, including preparing work schedules, providing training and mentorship, ensuring safety regulations and blueprints are followed, and approving regular and overtime hours. The role involves managing materials for concrete construction projects and maintaining scheduled tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage all job site activities of concrete laborers.
- Oversee concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.
- Direct workforce to meet operational goals for volume, cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
- Inspect forms holding concrete to ensure proper construction and monitor environmental conditions affecting curing.
- Supervise hands-on operations, including moving machinery.
- Develop, train, and instruct laborers in best practices and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with safety personnel for training, accident investigations, and incident reporting.
- Build customer and employee relationships with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prepare work schedules and estimate labor and materials for projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain professional conduct aligned with company mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; continuing education in Business, Project, or Construction Management is a plus.
- Minimum ten years of proven concrete foreman experience or comparable field experience in construction, manufacturing, rigging, or machinery moving.
- Strong interpersonal, management, supervisory, and project management skills.
- Self-directed and highly motivated.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and estimating/business software (e.g., Wright Plan/CRM).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; commercial driver’s license preferred.
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card upon hire (company assistance provided).

- Required vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Exposure to extreme outdoor environmental conditions year-round.
- Possible weekend and holiday work.
