Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of flatwork concrete projects from start to finish, including site preparation, forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
- Lead and supervise a crew of laborers, finishers, and equipment operators to ensure safety, productivity, and quality standards are met.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of the work.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Conduct daily job site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor crew members to develop their skills and knowledge in flatwork concrete construction.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage for each project.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in flatwork concrete construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing crews on similar projects.
- Thorough knowledge of concrete materials, techniques, and equipment used in flatwork construction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
