Concrete Foreman

About the role

Pepper Construction is a national general contracting and construction management firm with offices in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio, primarily serving the private sector. We combine the experience and resources of a national company with the hands-on approach of a local company.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of concrete workers and tradesmen
• Read and interpret blueprints and project plans
• Layout and oversee concrete projects from start to finish
• Ensure all work meets the company's high standards for quality
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Motivate and effectively manage tradesmen
• Collaborate with Superintendents and others on the job site

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred
• Proficient in the use of industry tools and equipment
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and project layouts
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Up to date with the latest technology involving concrete work
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, with an ability to multi-task
• Task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines
• Flexible availability, including some overtime and weekends
• OSHA 10 certification, preferred
• Operator's certificate, preferred
• Able to lift at least 35 pounds, unassisted, and stand for extended periods
