Concrete Finisher Lead

About the Role

This position directs activities of workers involved in concrete pours for construction projects, including buildings, parking lots, tilt-up walls, p-I-p walls, and other concrete structures. Responsibilities

• Study contract and placing drawings to plan construction procedures based on starting and completion timelines.
• Confer with and assist the Superintendent in directing personnel to execute work procedures.
• Assist in interpreting plans and specifications and coordinate construction phases to prevent delays.
• Resolve workforce complaints and grievances with supervisory personnel.
• Address construction problems and improve methods through collaboration with supervisory staff.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to schedules.
• Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used, and production hours; adjust schedules as needed.
• Direct workers on maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations.
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure long-lasting use.
• Maintain confidentiality of the Company’s proprietary and trade secret information.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience on concrete construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Experience directing others within a small work unit.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer literacy.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions.
• Physical ability to lift, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
