About the role

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and LiveNation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

The food service team at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is seeking an experienced Concessions Supervisor to assist in leading the day-to-day concessions operation. The ideal candidate has experience in large-scale concessions venues and is a hands-on leader with a focus on team development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in determining appropriate quantity of food and beverage items for cooking, baking, and serving in the stand in a timely manner; maintain food & beverage quality standards including appearance and nutritional requirements throughout the event.
  • Assist in monitoring and ordering food as needed based on business demands.
  • Monitor temperatures of food to assure safety and quality standards are met; monitor water temperatures to assure proper temperature for sanitizing.
  • Merchandise and serve food and beverage according to established guidelines and replenish as needed.
  • Oversee all staff in the stand and area including cashiers, food runners, cooks, and cleaners; ensure staff is in the correct uniform, signed in & out, practicing safe service, and upholding Trident Provisions’ standards of service.
  • Clean equipment, utensils, and appliances; properly store food and beverage supplies; assure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures and regulations; clean refrigerators and storerooms as required.
  • Assist in storing unused food and supplies; dispose of unusable leftovers; utilize proper methods of handling foods to be stored.
  • Assist with inventory and maintain routine records as directed; prepare records of food and beverage consumed vs. leftover.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in leading a concessions operation is preferred.
  • After completion of training, you will have gained the ability to work independently and effectively manage a stand.
  • ServSafe qualified or the ability to become ServSafe certified.

Work Environment

This role is highly physical with an emphasis on organization and moving products in a fast-paced work environment. This position may utilize a golf cart, hand carts, and pallet jacks.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Be clean, neat, and professionally dressed at all times.
