Concessions Stand Attendant - Ice Arena
About the Role
As a Concession Attendant at Dakotah! Sport and Fitness, you’ll be the first friendly face guests see when they stop by the Ice Arena Concessions. You’ll welcome members and guests with great service, prepare and sell food and beverages, handle cash and point-of-sale transactions, and maintain a clean, well-stocked environment. This role is ideal for building customer service, teamwork, and responsibility skills in a fast-paced, energetic setting.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet members and guests, addressing questions and concerns.
- Perform one or more of the following tasks based on your assigned area:
- Maintain schedules for gyms, courts, golf simulator, batting machine, salon, and/or bowling facility.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation and equipment usage.
- Reconcile daily sales at the Proshop, Recharge, Concessions, or Bowling.
- Assign bowling alleys, collect fees, issue equipment, and correct pin-resetting machine malfunctions.
- Operate equipment for the sale of items and prepare food and beverages for sale.
- Perform point-of-sale functions, including handling cash and making change.
- Monitor daily inventory of food and beverage supplies and conduct weekly product inventory for reorder.
- Assist with cleanliness and maintenance of the area and equipment.
- Provide service enhancements to members and guests, including answering questions and offering directions.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a basic math test.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Capacity to handle and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
- Physical ability to perform job duties with or without accommodations, including standing on feet 100% of the time.
Schedule
- Weekdays (Game Nights): Start times at 4:00 PM, 4:30 PM, or 5:00 PM.
- Saturday and Sunday: Hours dependent on game and tournament schedules; if no games are scheduled, shifts are 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
