About the role

Proof of the Pudding is a chef-led hospitality company delivering food and beverage experiences at some of North America’s most complex sports, entertainment, cultural, and live-event venues. Founded in Atlanta in 1979, Proof has built a national reputation for doing hospitality differently — from-scratch cooking at scale, hyper-local sourcing, and a partnership-first approach that treats clients as collaborators, not contracts. The company serves professional and collegiate sports venues, convention centers, cultural institutions, and large-scale destination events across the United States and internationally.

We are seeking a Concessions Manager to lead the team and logistics of our concessions operations at Circuit of the Americas. This position will be responsible for supervising day-to-day planning and event day execution of all concessions area 3rd party partners. The ideal candidate has experience in large-scale concessions operations and is a hands-on leader with a focus on team development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and effectively manage day-to-day duties to ensure that each event is executed flawlessly from start to finish.
  • Lead subcontract management for all 3rd party vendors and concessions partners – including contract negotiation, onboarding, compliance documentation, and day-to-day logistics coordination.
  • Own the subcontractor onboarding process from start to finish, including recruiting new partners, coordinating credentialing and insurance requirements, and communicating site logistics (arrival, footprint, utilities) ahead of each event.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries from the client and nurture the relationship between Proof of the Pudding and the client.
  • Communicate vendor requirements (water, gas, footprint/size, etc.) to the relevant departments.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; and maintaining security systems.
  • Support venue financial objectives by tracking budget and expenditures and flagging variances.
  • Organize frequent meetings and open lines of communication with sales, operations, concessions, and culinary teams in preparation for each event.
  • Set staff expectations for uniform, customer service, and workplace culture standards.
  • Attend and execute each event to ensure smooth operations from set-up to break-down.
  • Provide support for special off-site events (golf outings, boat events, etc.) as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Degree in Hospitality, Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Food and Beverage Operations and/or concessions – experience in high volume stadiums or special events is strongly preferred.
  • Must live near or be willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

Qualifications

  • Budgeting and/or financial focused mindset.
  • Team building & leadership.
  • Hands-on leader with drive to get the job done.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and processes.

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will vary between office work and event operations. This role often requires movement throughout the stadiums. Events may take place in indoor or outdoor settings.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving throughout a kitchen and venue, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting approximately 30 lbs.
