Concessions Event Manager
About the role
The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. Responsibilities
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate up to 80 temporary part-time and student employees in order to meet customer service demands and ensure successful staffing of events.
- Train, schedule, and supervise 40 non-profit volunteer groups (up to 50 per group) to staff concession stands during all University of Oregon home contests and outside events.
- Be available outside of “normal business hours” on nights and weekends to perform responsibilities.
- Promote the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
Requirements
- Two years of supervision experience in a food service operation.
- Possession of OLCC service permit OR ability to acquire one within 30 days.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, customers, vendors, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
- Expertise in inventory count and control.
- Expertise with cash management.
