Concessions & Beverage Asst. Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and issuing discipline as needed and ensure staffing levels are adequate and meet budget requirements.
• Cook with guests, monitor food quality and presentation, and handle complaints and requests by guests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, payroll, food and beverage costs, and other expenses.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• A minimum of two years of experience in food service or related field, with a minimum of one year of supervisory/management experience.
• Must be TIPS certified or able to pass the certification.
• Must have or be able to obtain Serve Safe certification or industry related certification.
• Experience with collective bargaining environments preferred.
• Strong organizational and training skills, as well as excellent customer service and people skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with persons of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to lead and motivate team to achieve goals.
• Knowledge of liquor handling laws pertaining to distribution, security, and management of minor employees.
• Knowledge of Iowa Department of Health laws and regulations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
• Experience with inventory practices, labor/cost of goods analysis and P&L statements.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and push carts up to 150 lbs.
• Able to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
