Concession Stand Lead | Wings Event Center | FT

Responsibilities

• Supervise preparation and service of food/beverage to patrons in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Operate and maintain the Food & Beverage stand in compliance with the Health Code and Event Center policies, including Michigan Liquor Law mandated procedures.
• Ensure all employees properly check I.D. and comply with the one-beer limit as directed by the F&B Manager.
• Ensure employees use proper food portions and serve food at correct temperatures.
• Oversee proper handling of money, tips, and countable items by employees; provide change when needed.
• Report employee discipline problems to the F&B Manager.
• Train staff on proper clean-up procedures.
• Inspect stand for cleanliness, proper food labeling, and storage before dismissing staff.
• Retain at least 2 staff members for inspection by the F&B Manager.
• Count in all items at the beginning of the event; count out at the end and record on paperwork.
• Check in all requisitioned items before and during the event; record on paperwork.
• Maintain a spoilage bucket and record all spoiled containers and food/beverage.
• Submit spoiled items in the spoilage bucket at the end of the event.
• Request change as needed.
• Complete the sales report and submit with bank and deposit.
• Complete and submit requisition for the next event with the sales report.
• Report any items needing repair or replacement.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more.
• Ability to stoop and bend.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time.
• Ability to comply with safety and health code standards.
• Ability to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks.
