Duties
- Installs, maintains, supports, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and software, campus-wide or in Instructional Technology sector.
- Coordinating, scheduling, and training of technicians, student employees, and interns.
- Maintains personal computers in multiple computer labs and on multiple campuses, implementing securing procedures and planning for future equipment requirements and lab modifications or rebuilds.
- Performs advanced diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of computing problems, including multiple-level software conflicts.
- Researches and recommends the procurement of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and related items from available vendors; prepares applicable specifications and requests for quotes.
- Supervises and participates in the installation, troubleshooting, and security of all desktop computing systems, prioritizing the needs of staff, faculty, and students.
- Administers and maintains applicable computer network, implementing security procedures and planning for future equipment requirements.
- Maintains system configurations and hardware and software inventories.
- Monitors software and licensing on computers and related equipment.
- Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, and reports; makes recommendations based on findings.
- Provides advanced level system support to users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in computer systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience in managing and maintaining personal computers in multiple locations.
- Knowledge of network administration and security protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex computing issues.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
