About the role

The HPE Chippewa Falls Manufacturing Operations Team builds servers, racked solutions, and performance-optimized datacenters. This onsite role is assigned to 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The qualified candidate will:

• Minimize latent damage to customer products by following electrostatic-discharge procedures.
• Drive scrap-cost reduction by minimizing handling errors.
• Maintain tools and a safe, clean work area.
• Lift up to 40 lbs repetitively over an 8-hour day.
• Maintain proper dress code, acceptable attendance, and follow all facility rules.
• Discern hardware failures and replace components during diagnostic test runs.
• Perform tests on standard and special devices within set parameters, replace defective hardware, and restart diagnostics.
• Communicate and collaborate with management and peers at all levels.
• Assist coordinators, supervisors, or peers as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Typically an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience and 4–6 years of experience; may include highly experienced non-degreed individuals or those degreed in an unrelated field.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Working knowledge of electronics technology.
• Knowledge of Linux commands and structure.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis on failing hardware.
• Ability to use various hand tools to accomplish job functions.

Pay

The expected hourly salary range for this position in Wisconsin is USD 21.83 – 46.25. Actual offers may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education/training, and skill level. Variable incentives may also be offered.
