About the role
This team provides support in administration, program management, engineering, and logistics for life cycle maintenance, modernization, and modification of Naval ships, unique platforms, new construction units, and support facilities for Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP). SUBMEPP’s mission is to keep assigned Naval ships and submersibles safe, reliable, and affordable through engineered life cycle maintenance and modernization products and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a web application using ASP.NET Core and Blazor (Server and/or WebAssembly)
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs using Entity Framework Core
- Collaborate with team members to plan, design, and implement new features
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and follow git best practices
- Work extensively with SQL to design, query, and optimize relational databases
- Maintain and debug an existing .NET desktop application
Requirements
- Professional experience with C# and ASP.NET Core
- Strong proficiency in Blazor or similar web UI frameworks
- Familiarity with REST APIs
- Experience with SQL or other relational databases
- Solid understanding of git
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Proficient in using Windows PC and the MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of submarine equipment and systems (a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical documentation and data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Familiarity with cloud services (preferred)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure, DevOps, etc.) (preferred)
Eligibility
An active or current DoD Secret security clearance is required.
Work Environment
- Professional office environment
- Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers
- Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
Schedule
- Typical workday is eight hours in length with some flexibility allowed
- Attendance at prescheduled mandatory meetings is required
- Must be available during core work hours and account for required hours to maintain full-time status
- Situational telework may be allowed
- Travel up to 10% may be required (CONUS and potential OCONUS)
Pay
Salary Range: $30.73 hourly, with up to an additional $5.09/hour for health & welfare, depending on benefit enrollment.
