Computer Programmer
About the role
As a software sustainment engineer, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that applications and systems run smoothly. You will troubleshoot, fix bugs, and enhance applications within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and make minor changes to existing applications
- Keep systems working in a sustainment mode
- Use programming and scripting languages to continuously enhance and maintain applications
- Troubleshoot operational issues and upgrade systems to meet security requirements
- Advising clients on improving and modernizing existing systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience maintaining and making minor changes to existing applications
- 3+ years of experience with legacy enterprise systems and microservices/distributed application environments
- Experience with workflows, web parts, site maintenance, APIs, and cloud platforms
- Basic programming language, technology, tool, or web development stack experience
- Experience creating and testing modules and components for compliance to design specifications
- Experience developing and testing interfaces between software products and other vendors
- Knowledge of source control systems such as GIT
- Experience leading design and code reviews and addressing findings within a collaborative, cross-functional team
Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience in software development in lieu of degree
Skills
- Java, Python, C#, C, C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, Angular, NodeJS, PHP, Bash, Visual Basic, Groovy, or Lua
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform experience
- Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Products, Microsoft Windows Server, or Microsoft SQL Server knowledge
- Shell scripting and automation knowledge
- DevOps, CI/CD knowledge
- Relational and hierarchical data structures/functional programming knowledge

Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
