About the role
The University of South Alabama’s Computer Services Center is seeking to hire a Computer Programmer.
Responsibilities
- Serves as support for University departments to include Student Services, Payroll, Human Resources, Financial Aid and Finance.
- Under direct supervision, develops, tests, and implements computer programs on multiple computer/operating system platforms.
- Writes and maintains ad hoc reports on an Oracle Database.
- Provides backup support to other Computer Center staff, including answering questions and troubleshooting various systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama.
- Experience with Oracle SQL, Ellucian Banner, and Linux is preferred.
Qualifications
Regular and prompt attendance. Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
