Computer Operator
We are seeking a Computer Operator to join our team supporting DLA Enterprise Service Delivery in Philadelphia, PA. TekSynap is a fast-growing high-tech company that understands both the pace of technology today and the need to have a comprehensive, well-planned information management environment.
About the role
The role involves assisting in performing technical operation and testing of various types of fully integrated computer-based systems in a supervised setting. You will operate communications-computer systems and install, implement, maintain, and tune operating systems, disk and tape management systems, and computer operations automation software.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing technical operation and testing of fully integrated computer-based systems under supervision.
- Efficiently manage and prioritize a workload of assigned tickets.
- Communicate effectively with peers and leadership in a team-focused environment.
- Seamlessly transition from daily operations to project actions and vice versa.
- Receive and accurately follow guidance and SOPs provided by contract and government leadership.
- Adapt to new situations and policies in the evolving technical landscape.
- Operate a wide variety of system components, including hardware, software, and mass storage technology.
- Perform local travel using a personal vehicle, company van, cart, or other motorized vehicle.
Requirements
- One (1) year of relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance with IT-II sensitivity.
- One of the following active IAT II or III certifications:
- Security+ CE
- CASP+ CE
- CCNA Security
- CySA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- SSCP
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- CISSP (or Associate)
- GCED
- GCIH
- DLA CE Cert
- Help Desk Tier II & III IA Role/Function certification (may be obtained on day 1).
- Valid state driver's license, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
Work Environment
- Location: Philadelphia, PA (office environment).
- Noise level: Medium.
- Work schedule: Day shift, Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
- Travel: At least 10%.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands to handle, feel, or touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
Pay
Target salary range: $42,000 - $50,000. The salary range is an estimate and may vary based on the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract parameters, and organizational requirements.
