Program Information
Students begin in the spring or fall semester and will learn to use manual lathes, manual mills and computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to manufacture precision metal parts.
Designed by MCC's precision machining consortium industry partners, begins with an intensive, one-semester certificate that prepares students to begin a career in manufacturing and machining.
After completing the certificate, students can increase their skills and versatility by taking additional classes, such as CNC and Mastercam or by earning an Associate in Applied Science degree.
You'll work with the latest equipment in our state-of-the-art precision machining lab. We are a Mastercam software training facility. We are certified by National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) and offer their credentials.
Credit for prior learning: you can test out of certain courses with skills developed on the job. We offer credit for select federally approved apprenticeship programs.
