Computed Tomography Adjunct Instructor
About the role
The MassBay Community College seeks a qualified part-time Computed Tomography Instructor for the current and future semesters. The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with faculty and others to prepare syllabi and develop teaching materials in alignment with course description and agreed-upon learning outcomes;
- Collaborate with program officials on students' academic progress and needs;
- Meet students regularly at the posted class times and teach assigned courses using effective instructional strategies that promote student learning and preparation;
- Participate in the assessment of course and program learning outcomes;
- Utilize appropriate learning management systems for the College;
- Follow College protocols and procedures;
- Submit syllabi, midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by the required due dates;
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration, assess students objectively, and work as part of a team;
- Stay current with developments in the profession;
- Use the College's technology effectively to communicate with students, colleagues, and administration;
- Be timely in communication;
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dean/Dean’s designee and consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology-Radiography or higher or equivalent, ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology, and Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography;
- A minimum of four (4) years of recent work experience in a Computed Tomography role or a relevant combination of work experience;
- Some teaching experience/working at a teaching hospital also applies here;
- Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Online teaching experience is preferred;
- Bilingual language skills;
- Evidence of a career that includes a strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle high-pressure environments.
Pay
Salary Range: $1512-$1715 per DCE Credit.
Schedule
Spring 2026 (January-May) and Summer 2026 (May – August)
