Course Description
- CT Procedures I: Basic principles, screening procedures, patient monitoring, dose, safety, contrast and their contraindications, equipment use, professional roles, routine exams and protocols utilized.
- CT Procedures II: Cardiac CT procedures, interventional procedures, radiation therapy simulation procedures, including pediatric and bariatric procedures.
- Cross Sectional Anatomy & Pathology: Fundamental anatomy and pathology associated with computed tomography. Diseases, pathologies, and their appearances will be reviewed. Various structures will be demonstrated and sectional anatomy will be included.
- Imaging and AI: Comprehensive study of the physics associated with computed tomography. Topics include: scanner components, digital imaging and imaging steps, radiation protection, and helical applications. Artificial intelligence is discussed, with the terminology defined and its applications in medical imaging outlined.
- CT Registry Review: Preparation to take the national certification examination through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Various topics will be addressed each week with a practice registry exam given to complete the program.
- CT Clinic I, CT Clinic II, CT Clinic III: Clinical experience extending from the classroom where students develop theoretical knowledge into practical skills through instruction, application, critique, and evaluation on common procedures.

- Submit syllabi, midterm and final grade reports, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by due dates.
- Stay current with developments in the profession.
- Be timely in communicating.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in radiologic technology or higher, ARRT Certification in both radiologic technology and Advanced certification Computed Tomography
- Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of recent work in CT or relevant combination of work experience prior teaching experience and Canvas use preferred.
- Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.
