Compounding Lab Manager (Night Shift)

About the role

The Compounding Lab Manager will oversee daily operations in the compounding labs, support scale-up efforts, and ensure patient safety and quality. Key responsibilities include managing technicians, training new staff, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage patient-specific non-sterile compounding activities
• Train new compounding technicians on lab equipment and processes
• Immerse in daily pharmacy operations
• Manage inventory and organize documentation
• Plan and execute new compounding initiatives
• Provide counseling and develop training materials for professionals
• Review and revise SOPs related to compounded non-sterile products
• Communicate with professionals about compounded prescription needs

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a front-line leadership or supervisory role
• Familiarity with USP chapters 795 and 800
• Experience working in a compounding pharmacy
• Familiarity with Computer Rx pharmacy software
• Knowledge of pharmacy and compounding SOPs
• Ability to teach and train pharmacy staff
• Pharmacy Technician Certification strongly preferred
