About the role
Seeking EXPERIENCED composites, fiberglass and gelcoat technicians for year-round work in the Fairfield County, CT area.
We are a dynamic young company that is team-orientated, servicing boatyards and yachts. We are expanding our operations and expanding our team.
Jobs vary from runabouts/day sailors to mega yachts.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, fabricate, and install composite components on boats and yachts.
- Apply fiberglass and gelcoat to ensure smooth surfaces and proper adhesion.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets industry standards.
- Work closely with other technicians and project managers to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in composites, fiberglass, and gelcoat fabrication.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in marine environments preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of composite materials and their properties.
- Proficiency in fiberglass and gelcoat application techniques.
- Understanding of marine construction practices and safety protocols.
