About the role
We are seeking an Applications EngTechnician for Composite Materials to join the Customer Engineering team. This role involves translating customer challenges into technical solutions, collaborating with both customers and internal experts to develop tailored innovations.
Responsibilities
- Execute plans for development and qualification of new composite materials and manufacturing technologies aligned to the market and customer needs
- Support development activities for innovation opportunities coupling material, process, and part design
- Perform characterization and producibility studies of new composite material and process development
- Manage multiple routine and non-routine tasks implementing appropriate time management skills
- Communicate with internal and external customers on execution and progress of qualification test plans on composite, adhesives, primers, and coatings
- Provide expertise in support of troubleshooting material behavior
- Operate and maintain lab equipment required to execute job function
- Support production testing as required
- Champion, follow, and promote all safety procedures within Syensqo and collaborating sites
- Champion safety actions of others
- Work collaboratively at all times to support all functions, customers, and suppliers
Requirements
- Ace's degree in a relevant discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline preferred
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience on composite materials and processing technologies
- Experience in composite technologies: hand layup composite laminate manufacturing, adhesive bonding, prepreg, out-of-autoclave manufacturing, resin infusion, thermoplastics, amongst other composite manufacturing technologies
- Understanding of lab procedures presented in Customer specifications, technical journals and textbooks
- Can adapt and modify procedures to meet project requirements
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder
- Location: Syensqo Anaheim, CA facility

Pay
The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $60,000.00 to $79,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
